Seth Entsi Essuon

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Seth Essuon, also known as Nana, founded the Bonsouku Community Foundation in 2021 after many years of wanting to make a difference in his hometown. Nana is also the Chief of Bonsuoku and the Division Chief of Senya Beraku. He has his Bachelor of Science in Administration - Accounting from the University of Ghana and System Engineering from IPMC, Ghana. Nana is working hard to support the people of his community and meet their needs.

Kenneth Brown

Co-founder & PRO & Programs Manager

Kenneth Brown is originally from Senya-Beraku, the neighboring town of Bonsuoku. He now resides in the UK but frequently comes back to Ghana as he is the founder of Senya Beraku Diaspora. He can be found helping his community by donating hospital beds, organizing events, and more.

Justina Annan

Senior Community Health Nurse

Justina is one of our hard working nurses at the community clinic. She loves working as a nurse and being able to help improve health throughout the community. With her help, BCF is able to determine priority health issues and work towards making change for the clinic and the health of the community.

Bethany Grupp

Education Projects Manager

Bethany holds a Master’s Degree in Intercultural Service, Leadership, and Management from SIT Graduate Institute (School for International Training) where she focused on international education development and monitoring and evaluation. She has been partnering with organizations in Ghana since 2013 and has worked with different nonprofits and NGOs in the area of education and youth leadership. She focused her masters research on the education system in Ghana and access to education for Girls in Ghana. She worked in the Senya area for 9 years and lived in the Kumasi area for one year working with high school students. She is excited to bring her experience to BCF and work to create a school that provides quality education and develops future leaders of Ghana! She currently teachers middle school girls in Hartford, CT where she teaches about global issues and how to create change.

Mr. Alex Essuon

Chairman & Community Leader

Mr. Alex Essuon is the Chairman and Community Leader of Bonsuoku. In 2020 he helped mobilize funds and build the community health clinic. Thanks to his generous help he donated the land for the foundation and has been a vital part in seeing BCF is brought to life. The people of Bonsuoku look to him for advice and guidance when they need help and he is looking forward to improving the community through all aspects of the foundation.

Sweet Africa

Co-founder & Program Officer

Sweet Africa, originally from Liberia, came to Ghana in 2002 as a refugee and settled in Bonsuoku in 2010. Over his life, he has worked as a professor, farmer, craftsman, chef, and many more - anything you need done, he is your go-to man! Known as Sweet Africa or simply, Africa to everyone in town, he is a valuable member of our team, providing insight to all of our projects.

Taylor D'Eramo

Healthy Community Projects Manager

Taylor holds a Master of Public Health from Emory University in Atlanta, GA and currently works with FHI 360. Her focus is in global health development, infectious diseases, and water, sanitation, and hygiene. Additionally, she has a certificate in Complex Humanitarian Emergencies. Taylor has worked in Ghana since 2015 in Senya Beraku and Accra. Having worked closely to Bonsuoku, Taylor is passionate about improving the lives of the area through public health initiatives by working with the local community.

Additional Team Members

In addition to our core team members, BCF has members within the community of Bonsuoku that work on each of our projects relating to public health, education, leadership, and agriculture. We believe in working with our community and bringing in different voices to help us support the people of Bonsuoku.
